YES! 2024

Year End Show (YES!) is UIC's annual exhibition showcasing work from graduating design and architecture students. For the 2024 theme, the Design Exhibition fellows team celebrated the nuances of handmade processes by using cyanotype as the central visual language. Posters combined physical cyanotype textures, photography, and digital typography to create layered, mixed-media visuals. Motion graphics that matched the poster were also developed for the school’s Instagram. We also created hand-printed merchandise, including tote bags, stickers, postcards, and buttons, offering guests a tangible connection to the show. This approach emphasized the value of the designer's hand in physical making, prioritizing hand crafting over digital perfection.
